privacy policy

1. the short version

We collect the minimum needed to run the Service: your account info, your subscription status, and usage counts. Your video files are rendered locally in your browser — the clips you upload are never sent to our servers. We don't sell your data.

2. what we collect

• Account data — email, name, and profile photo, provided through our sign-in provider Clerk.
• Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, never your card details.
• Usage data — counts of videos and exports you create, used for your stats and our quotas.
• AI generation data — prompts you submit for avatar generation, your monthly credit usage, and the resulting image/video URLs.

3. what we don't collect

Videos you upload into the editor are processed entirely in your browser using WebCodecs — they are not uploaded to our servers. Exported videos download directly to your device.

4. who processes your data

We use a small set of infrastructure providers:

• Clerk — authentication
• Stripe — payments
• Convex — application database
• Vercel — hosting
• Replicate — AI generation (only when you use generation features)
• Cloudflare R2 — storage for generated avatar images and our preset clip library

Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

5. cookies

We use authentication cookies (via Clerk) to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

6. data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your user record and export history are deleted from our database. You can also remove your stored Replicate API key at any time without deleting your account.

7. your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll make it happen.

8. changes

If we change this policy we'll post the update here with a new date. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
